Walter and his family burned through 22 months in Terezin.
He was with his sibling, guardians, and grandparents. His mother and father were killed after showing up in Terezin. His sibling, then again, was taken. The prominent survivor in his family, Walter was shipped off to the Sosnowiec death camp. There, he was sent on a passing walk making a beeline for Mauthausen before being liberated by US powers on May 5, 1945.
