Teton Public Park has some guidance for remaining safe.

They suggest that you:

  • Remain 100 yards from bears regardless of whether you are in your vehicle.
  • Utilize assigned pullouts while reviewing bears and remain with your car.
  • Follow bearings from Public Park Administration Staff.
  • Use optics or spotting extensions for safe review.
  • Moving toward untamed life is denied by regulation.
  • Try not to leave food, trash, or coolers in the open bed of a truck or the outside of any vehicle.
