Sperm whales’ heads likewise hold enormous amounts of a substance called spermaceti.
However enormous as they may be, these whales are delicate and possibly devour squid they find when they jump down into the profundities of the sea.
As the divers descended, they noticed a sperm whale swimming toward them. The whale approached the divers and allowed them to get close, which is unusual behavior for these creatures as they are known to be shy and elusive. The divers soon realized that the whale had a hook stuck in its mouth and appeared distressed.
