Meet Banner, a 3-year-old Husky who also happens to be a dedicated service dog.
One day, she alerted her owner, Whitney, to something unusual in the nearby woods.
Curious, Banner led Whitney away from their home to a remote area, where they made a surprising discovery—a sealed cardboard box tucked away from sight.
Inside was a heartbreaking scene: seven newborn kittens, only a day old.
“It looks like someone placed them in a cardboard box, sealed it tightly, and abandoned them to their fate.”
They likely believed no one would ever find them. I still can’t figure out how Banner knew they were inside. The kittens were cold and silent, not making a single sound.”
“It’s heartbreaking to think that anyone could do something so cruel to these helpless little creatures. It’s truly heartless and inhumane.”
Since that moment, Banner has stayed by the kittens’ side, caring for them as if they were her own.
Banner is truly maternal at heart.
“I’m going to make sure these kittens find the perfect homes where they’ll be loved for a lifetime,” she says.
“I’m overjoyed that, thanks to Banner, these kittens now have the chance to grow up in loving families.”
Banner is a real hero, dedicated to helping others, whether they’re human or animal. She even has her own Instagram and Facebook pages with thousands of followers. If you’d like to stay updated on the kittens’ journey, you can follow along there.
