#9 “Worse-case scenario”
This is a simple one. When you say you want to prepare yourself for the ‘worse-case scenario,’ what you should really be saying is you would prepare yourself for the ‘worst’ case scenario.

‘Worst-case scenario’ with a letter “t” means that you are ready to face when things/situations get overwhelmingly bad.
Example:
“obsessing over the worst-case scenarios before I let myself loose.”
